Bridgend Ford Celebrate 30 Years In Business During 2016

2016 has seen Bridgend Ford turn 30 and what a year it has been. Our official birthday is during March but due to the new plate change and the increase in sales around that month we had to postpone the celebrations until April. So what did we get up to? Well we set aside a weekend during the middle of April to organise a party for the members of staff, members of the public and all of our customers!

The event kicked off on Friday with a number of Classic Ford Cars dating back to the early 80's including a Ford Escort and a number of Ford Mustangs. By lunch time we had some very questionable wigs arrive and within minutes they were taken by the members of New Car Sales. Sarah Dance, Thomas Taylor, Chris Way, Paul Evans joined in the fun along with General Sales Manager Paul Davies and Managing Director Gary Pesticcio.

As the afternoon set we saw the arrival of some vintage racing simulators that were on site for the customers with their 'inner-child' itching to get out and have another go on their favourite childhood arcade games. The stage was set so that left one thing, cutting the cake! Sharon Pesticcio, wife to the managing director Gary, had created another delicious celebratory cake big enough to feed all 90 members of staff that were present on that day.

Saturday came and past as quickly as ever but we were fortunate to have a very busy showroom with members of the public coming from surrounding areas to view our selection of Classic Ford Cars and test out their speed on our 'Watt Bike Challenge' kindly provided by K2 Gym in Bridgend. There was one other item that we parked within our showroom for the weekend, a bright yellow, three-wheeled reliant robin that attracted a lot of attention. The classic motor that was made famous in the hit sitcom 'Only Fools & Horses' was on hand for customers to have their photos taken while many reminisced about their favourite episodes.

The weekend was a huge success for the company and the families that run the business on a day to day basis. The company has grown from strength to strength over the past 30 years and we are now looking ahead to conquer the next 30 years!
