We are extremely proud to announce that our very own Chloe Jones, is fundraising for The Little Princess Trust by taking part in 'The Big Chop'. Chloe will be having around 14 inches of hair cut off on Saturday 6th May 2017. The wigs cost between £300 - £500 so she would also like to raise some money to help them make these wigs too.
The Little Princess Trust give away free real hair wigs to both boys and girls that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses.
The Little Princess Trust has always been determined to support as many boys and girls as it can and providing free wigs to sick children will always remain at the very heart of what they do. In line with their original objectives, they also really wanted to support the development of less aggressive and less toxic cancer treatments and so last year they were in a position to invite applications for funding from academics and organisations involved in researching the causes of paediatric cancer.
So far she has raised over £450 for the charity with more donations arriving on a daily basis from other friends and members of her family.
"I have got involved with The Princess Trust because it is a cause that is very close to my heart. I couldn't imagine anything worse than being a child and not having hair so I wanted to help in any way I could. I am thrilled with the support I have seen from my friends and family and I hope that this can continue up until the big day" explained Chloe.
Bridgend Ford felt that this was a very worthwhile cause and set up a dress-down day on Friday 28th April to encourage our staff to raise money.
Chloe has set up a Just Giving page and you are still able to donate!
