The plug-in hybrid version of this award-winning van is as flexible as ever…

Highlights
Choose your model The Transit Custom PHEV is available in three model types: the single-cab Van, the Double Cab-in-Van (DCiV) and the Kombi. If you’re looking for optimal payload levels, single-cab Van variants are the way to go. If you desire an equitable crew-cargo balance, DCiVs are an excellent option. If your line of work requires the regular transportation of up to eight people, the Kombi is an elegant solution.
Versatile van Each model type offers a choice of lengths and heights. For instance, the single-cab Van and the Kombi are each available in four length/height configurations. The DCiV, meanwhile, offers two length options.
Easy access With a wide-opening nearside sliding door and 180-degree-opening rear doors, access to the Transit Custom’s load area will rarely ever prove to be an issue. That said, if you choose a DCiV variant, you’ll have the added advantage of an offside sliding door.
Classy colours A range of paint finishes are available, including the metallic tones of Moondust Silver and Chrome Blue – and Orange Glow, which comes with the Sport grade. If you fancy a solid body colour, Race Red is one such option, and a fine one at that.

    Interior

The Transit Custom PHEV boasts plenty of standard-issue features – and offers an array of payload capacities.

    Highlights
Cab comfort While all travellers are provided with comfortable seats, the driver has the added benefit of an eight-way-adjustable position (with armrest) and a rake-and-reach-adjustable steering wheel.
Convenient cubbies This plug-in hybrid van provides numerous places to put personal items and drinks, such as a glove box – and a compartment situated on the vehicle’s dash. There’s also a stowage area located below the dual passenger seat (not available with 276bhp DCiV variants).
Versatile volumes With 10 configurations to choose from, you’re provided with plenty of crew-cargo options. For instance, the Kombi L1 H1 offers a 1.3m3 payload volume while the single-cab L2 H2 delivers up to 8.3m3.
Flexible bulkhead To help ensure crew safety, a bulkhead is positioned between the cab and load bay, providing an effective barrier. If you choose a single-cab Van model, you’ll have the added benefit of a load-through bulkhead, which allows the transportation of extra-long cargo, such as pipes.

      Technology

Infotainment, safety and plug-in hybrid tech – the Transit Custom PHEV has everything you need to drive your business towards greater success.

      Highlights
Audio on the go A four-speaker sound system is included as standard, featuring an AM/FM tuner and a DAB digital radio. You can connect your compatible devices via the supplied AUX and USB ports, and stream audio content via Bluetooth. More infotainment features are available with higher grades. For example, Trend trims add an eight-inch touchscreen, among other items.
Driving assistance A range of driver aids are included, such as Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System, Load Adaptive Control and Emergency Braking Assist. Another standard-issue feature is Roll Stability Control, which works with ESC to identify hazardous driving conditions – and reduces the associated risks by automatically controlling speed.
PHEV power and efficiency A 1.0-litre petrol engine is supported by an electric motor, which is energised by a lithium-ion battery. This set-up delivers a peak torque of 355Nm, enabling rapid city acceleration while returning up to 91.7mpg and producing CO2 emissions as low as 67g/km.
All-electric range Once its 13.6kWh battery is fully charged, this plug-in hybrid van manages a maximum 30.5-mile range. For many businesses, this will be enough to ensure electric-only motoring for a large proportion of the working day.
