Bridgend Ford: What did you think about electric vans a year ago?

Fred: I wasn’t convinced at first that it would work for my business with needing to charge it, but there are more charging points around than I realised so it hasn’t been an issue for me. Usually, charging overnight at my house is enough for the next day anyway so that’s good.

Bridgend Ford: What have you been driving recently?

Fred: I have been driving Transit Custom PHEV and so far, it’s been fantastic for my business.

Bridgend Ford: What prompted you to think about switching to an EV?

Fred: I wanted to keep the same Transit Custom for my business as I have been using these vans for years. I was unaware the PHEV version existed and gave it a test drive when enquiring about upgrading my Custom. I was happy enough with the experience and the benefits to take the plunge and make the switch to EV. I was concerned at first as I’ve never driven EV but they work great!

Bridgend Ford: What interested you about the Ford Transit Custom PHEV?

Fred: The first thing that made me want to switch was the running costs for my business, but then I was surprised by the overall ride of the vehicle and how responsive the throttle was.

Bridgend Ford: How was your experience with your Sales Executive?

Fred: Great, Bridgend Ford always look after me and I’ve bought many vans from them over the years.

Bridgend Ford: Now you've been driving it for a while, how have you found it so far?

Fred: So far so good. I am a big fan of the interior; it’s a nice environment to get some paperwork done on the side of the road. I just need to keep it tidy!

Bridgend Ford: Have you managed to get all your jobs done in the day without recharging it?

Fred: Most days I can get all my jobs done on a single charge, but If I am out of area then I need to charge if I’m going longer distances. I usually just get a coffee and top it up enough to get back home and then fully charge it overnight.

Bridgend Ford: How have you found charging it when you're out and about?

Fred: Charging has been fine. I am happy to see more charging points cropping up locally which is always a bonus.

Bridgend Ford: Would you recommend the Ford Transit Custom PHEV?

Fred: I would recommend the Transit Custom PHEV to anyone who like the original Transit Custom vans. They work great for my business and help me keep on top of running costs which is a massive bonus for me.

But any such amounts they and other lenders pay us will not affect the amounts you pay under your finance agreement; however, you will be contributing towards the commission paid to us with the interest collected on your repayments. Before we propose you to a potential lender, we will inform you of the likely amount of commission we will receive and seek your consent to receive this commission. The exact amount of commission that we will receive will be confirmed prior to you signing your finance agreement.
